Conservative author Jerome Corsi on Monday filed a criminal and ethics complaint against Robert Mueller. Corsi’s 78-page complaint alleges that special counsel prosecutors attempted to force the author into giving a false testimony which would hurt President Donald Trump.
“Dr. Corsi has been criminally threatened and coerced to tell a lie and call it the truth,” stated the complaint, filed with the Department of Justice and the DOJ’s inspector general, according to Fox News.
The complaint asks that Muller and his prosecutors face the consequences of their misconduct and thus, be removed from their posts.
“Special Counsel Mueller and his prosecutorial staff should respectfully be removed from his office and their practice of the law and a new Special Counsel appointed who respects and will obey common and accepted norms of professional ethics and the law and who will promptly conclude the so-called Russian collusion investigation which had been illegally and criminally spinning out of control,” reads the document.
The document alleges that Muller and his prosecutorial team asked Corsi to say that he was a liaison between Roger Stone and Wikileaks, regarding the release of the hacked DNC (Democratic National Committee) emails. Corsi denies being part of it, claiming that he has never met Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder, or any of his associates.
Mueller’s office “knowingly and deceitfully threatening to charge Dr. Corsi with an alleged false statement,” reads the filing, unless Corsi agrees to release a “false testimony” against Trump and others.
Last week, the author told several media outlets that he has no intention of signing Muller’s agreement, which asks that Corsi pleads guilty to one count of perjury.
“They can put me in prison the rest of my life. I am not going to sign a lie,” Corsi told CNN.
“Word is friend in embassy plans 2 more dumps. One shortly after I’m back. 2nd in Oct. Impact planned to be very damaging,” wrote Corsi in an email sent to Trump’s campaign associate, Roger Stone, according to a court filing by Muller’s team.
“Time to let more than (Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta) to be exposed as in bed w enemy if they are not ready to drop HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton),” “The Obama Nation” author added. “That appears to be the game hackers are now about.”
Last week, Corsi told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he has been nothing but cooperative with Muller’s team and that he did everything that he was asked- he even handed over both his computer and cellphone. However, he forgot about one email that was sent and he probably wouldn’t have thought of it if it wasn’t brought to his attention.
In September, Muller accepted Corsi’s amended statement, however, the prosecutors changed their mind after they realized that Corsi “could not give them what they wanted,” according to him.
“They do this what I call a perjury trap,” Corsi told Carlson. “They ask you a question. They have material they won’t show you. You’ve forgotten about. They say, ‘You’ve just lied,’ because this email you’ve forgotten about 2016 proves your current memory is wrong. It’s a memory test.”
On Monday, Corsi’s attorney, Judicial Watch founder and Freedom Watch president Larry Klayman, charged Mueller with “effectively seeking to overthrow a duly elected president” by attempting to force Klayman’s client into committing perjury.
“This rogue government tyranny perpetrated by a Special Counsel and his prosecutorial staff, which is designed to effectively overthrow a duly elected president by coercing and extorting false testimony from Dr. Corsi and others, cannot be permitted in a civilized society,” he said.
Last week, Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said that Muller’s probe is doing more hard than good as it doesn’t uncover past crimes but, simply creates new ones, adding that the report of the special counsel will be based on lies.
“Virtually all of his indictments and pleas come from people who he got to lie in front of investigators by setting perjury traps for them,” Dershowitz said. “(A)nd the other ones have to do with financial dealings unrelated to the president. Where’s the beef? Where’s the crime?”
